For illustration, processing 100 kg of seeds takes 10 pressing hours at a sustained 10 kg/hour, or five hours at a sustained 20 kg/hour. These calculations exclude preparation, interruptions, filtration and packing. A larger machine may provide useful spare capacity, but it also ties up more capital. Compare complete purchase costs and actual demand before upgrading. Do not convert either machine's seed capacity directly into litres of oil.
